Human Femur Dagger – From the Asmat people of South West Papua New Guinea.
Such daggers are usually made from the tibiotaurus bone of cassowaries
(Casuarius casuarius) but as last as the 1980s, some were known to be made of human fumurs
These daggers are both symbolic and utilitarian, though the human femur daggers were more
prestigious than those of the cassowary bone.
